Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Injections
What are Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Injections?
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections are a non-surgical treatment often used in conjunction with other hair loss treatments to stimulate hair growth and rejuvenation. Platelets are a natural part of blood involved in clotting. They are known to release growth factors that stimulate healing and have been shown to increase hair thickness and density.

What can I expect with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Injections?
PRP is made from a small amount of the patient’s own blood, which is drawn into a special type of tube and then spun in a device called a centrifuge to separate the platelets from other blood components. The concentrated platelets along with the plasma in which they are found are then injected using a very small, fine needle into the scalp.
PRP injections are usually performed as a series of monthly treatments followed by less frequent maintenance treatment sessions. PRP injections generally cause no social downtime and gradually work over a period of months.
