Joel Dubose Howell, MD

Dr. Howell earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago and completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals.* He was a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania and a senior fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics. He also completed his doctorate in the history and sociology of science at the University of Pennsylvania. His special interest lies in the appropriate use of medical technology. His hobbies include bicycling and squash.
