Research Overview
My research interests lie in understanding the negative health effects of obesity that include asthma, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome. My laboratory studies adipose tissue biology and how inflammation is triggered in obesity and contributes to disease. We use a combination of animal models and patient based research to answer our questions.
