Lisa Kane Low, CNM

Lisa received her Master’s degree from University of Illinois and her PhD from University of Michigan. She has been with the service since 1993 and currently is an associate member. She is also the Associate Dean for Practice and Professional Graduate Programs in the School of Nursing where she teaches in the midwifery education program.  She is also on faculty and teaches in the Women’s Studies Department.  Her research focuses on reducing primary cesarean rates and support and care during second stage labor and she is active nationally with the American College of Nurse Midwives. Lisa has two children in college, so now she and her husband have an empty nest with time to play soccer and listen to good music.
