Lisa Joy Scheiman, CNM

Lisa graduated from the University of Illinois with a master’s degree in midwifery in 1988 and practiced at Hutzel Hospital in Detroit and taught at the University of Michigan Nurse Midwifery education program before joining our practice in 1993.  She is also the director of the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner program at UMHS and as such is involved in campus and community efforts to improve processes and response to survivors. She is enjoying her “empty-nester” life and visits her two children who live on opposite coasts frequently.  She enjoys distance and trail running, yoga, reading, and good food.  Her clinic is at Von Voigtlander Women’s Hospital.
