Comprehensive Epilepsy Program

The Michigan Medicine Comprehensive Epilepsy Program is a designated Level 4 referral center by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers. Our team has extensive experience in epilepsy surgery, performing 70 to 100 procedures per year. In addition, the program works to identify any medical, psychological or social complication that arises as a result of the seizure disorder. Comprehensive Stroke Program

The Michigan Medicine Comprehensive Stroke Program has been recognized by the Joint Commission as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, a certification which means a hospital is ready 24/7 to deliver advanced stroke care. University of Michigan Stroke Program team members also helped in authoring the American Stroke Association "Get With The Guidelines®" Quality Initiative. We have repeatedly been designated as an American Heart Association Gold Plus stroke hospital, the highest stroke quality designation. Functional Wellness Initiative

The Functional Wellness Initiative of the University of Michigan Brain Tumor Program works to treat patients with brain tumors that affect language, motor, psychological and neurocognitive outcomes. The program includes experts from neuro-oncology, physical medicine, clinical neuropsychology, speech pathology, and neurosurgery. Patients receive a comprehensive care plan integrating the latest in brain tumor treatments and receive one-on-one counseling to determine which services will help patients achieve the best possible outcomes. NeuroSport

The University of Michigan NeuroSport program is one of only a handful of comprehensive programs in the country dedicated to the neurological concerns of athletes. NeuroSport specializes in the treatment and prevention of neurological sports injuries, as well as the management of primary neurological diseases that affect athletic performance. The mission of the multidisciplinary Michigan NeuroSport outpatient clinic is to treat athletes of all levels with an emphasis on acute concussion care and potential long-term consequences of mild head trauma.
