The U-M Comprehensive Musculoskeletal Center is a leader in improving mobility and quality of life for patients with bone, joint and spine conditions. Musculoskeletal Care at Northville uses various “Care Teams” made of providers from different specialties. Care teams practice collaboratively within the 20,000 square foot suite dedicated to musculoskeletal services. The space was designed for patient convenience and features exam rooms, cast tables, a hydro room, private treatment rooms, and a large therapy area with exercise equipment and locker rooms.
Orthotics and Prosthetics at the University of Michigan is among the few University-based programs in the country that offer comprehensive orthotic and prosthetic services and has been awarded the maximum three-year accreditation by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics, Inc.
Our Orthotics and Prosthetics Services include:
- Education about the various prostheses and orthoses available
- Evaluating, designing, fabricating, fitting, and adjusting of orthoses and/or prostheses
- Training you and your family on the proper wear and care of your orthosis or prosthesis
- Providing follow-up care as needed
