Michigan Medicine’s Hepatology Program has the expertise to comprehensively treat all types of liver conditions, including advanced liver diseases. As one of the largest and oldest liver programs in the country, we offer our patients the latest in diagnostics and treatment options along with a robust research program to provide novel treatment therapies before they are available in clinical practice. If needed, we work closely with Michigan Medicine’s Liver Transplant Program, part of the first and largest transplant program in the state, and one of the nation’s original transplant centers. High volume, vast experience and a large team of physicians and surgeons means we have the capacity to take care of a large concentration of patients, especially patients who need to be hospitalized before their transplant.
Michigan Medicine offers a hepatology clinic in collaboration with MidMichigan Health to provide care for patients experiencing advanced liver disease.
