Our Research
Our specialists are also engaged in research which works towards advancing the standards of care for sports related injuries. Projects covering the knee, shoulder and hip joints are underway. Registries for ACL injuries, rotator cuff tears and meniscal tears are under development. Clinical studies on the early development of Osteoarthritis after ACL injury are progressing with funding from the National Football League. Laboratory studies on the mechanism of ACL injury, funded by National Institutes of Health, will hopefully lead to well designed risk factor surveillance and improved injury prevention programs.
