Dr. Blitz is an internist with a master's degree in Occupational Medicine from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. She is the medical director for the University of Michigan Occupational Health Services and physician advisor for MHealthy Health and Well-Being Services Wellness and Risk Reduction Services. She is responsible for a team of 17 people who handle prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of occupational illnesses and injuries and provide information and support for positive health behaviors to the 30,000 employees of the University of Michigan. She is also the employee health physician at the Ann Arbor Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Blitz is a frequent lecturer on topics related to occupational health and has written or contributed to occupational health-related papers in scientific journals.
