Dr. Katz earned his medical degree from the University of California-San Francisco and completed his residency in internal medicine at the UCLA Medical Center.* He was a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar at the University of Washington in Seattle, where he also completed his master's of public health. His special interests include health services research and corporate health systems. His hobbies include playing the banjo, bird watching and speaking Spanish.
